Have you tried the Data Center Energy Profiler Tool?  It is developed by the U.S Department of Energy, Department of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and it is free. The  Online software tool provided help to identify how energy is being purchased and consumed by a data center and also identify potential energy and cost savings.

As IDC claims 26% of the financial institutions surveyed say they are already using some form of cloud services.  The number is reported from IDC and reflects the status in late 2009.

The question is : are the existing Data Centers ready to withstand the increased demand for power and cooling?
